Naval Charging Station

Montreal, (Quebec, Canada)
Integrated work: Maintenance

DAWCO was mandated to handle the set-up of an electrical charging station for cruise ships docking at the Port of Montreal. The equipment can re-energize boats in 3 to 4 hours, guaranteeing a clean energy supply.

During this mandate, the DAWCO team performed:

  • The dockside connection of Holland America Line's MS Veendam.

  • The dockside connection of the Vista of the Marshall Islands, a cruise ship with a capacity of up to 1,200 passengers and a crew of 800. This ship consumed 525 amperes at a voltage of 6600V, i.e. a total of 3.5 megawatts, during its first use.

The APM is pursuing its mission to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by developing innovative projects to encourage more sustainable and environmentally-friendly shipping. DAWCO is fully committed to supporting this initiative and actively contributing to its realization.
