The Brompton mill marked Kruger’s first step into the pulp and paper industry. The mill produces newsprint from thermo-mechanical and recycled pulp. The mill complex also includes a 9.9-megawatt (MW) hydroelectric plant and a 23-MW biomass cogeneration plant. DAWCO was responsible for plant substation modifications aiming at modernizing control and power systems at the mill.
