MÉLISSA CHICOINE
Vice-President, Finance
A graduate of HEC Montréal since 2008 and a member of the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agréés du Québec since 2009, Mélissa Chicoine brings solid, diversified expertise to DAWCO.
With over 10 years' experience in accounting firms, Mélissa has worked with clients in a variety of sectors, including construction, service and entertainment. This experience has enabled her to develop a solid foundation in accounting, auditing, and taxation, providing a comprehensive overview of the financial and tax aspects of business.
Seeking to deepen her knowledge of corporate finance, Mélissa joined Sonepar Canada, a multinational, where she helped lay the groundwork for two positions: Corporate Controller and Director of Control and Financial Projects. One of her main objectives was to optimize financial processes, in close collaboration with IT teams, perfecting this aspect crucial to the company's growth.
In 2022, Mélissa joined DAWCO as Finance Director and was promoted to her current position of Vice-President, Finance in 2023. Here, she builds on her previous experience while developing new skills. Human resources management, a key aspect of her role, is constantly evolving, requiring continuous adaptation.
Throughout her career, Mélissa has always made it a point of honour to comply with accounting and tax standards, and to satisfy the requirements of her business partners. She continues to prioritize these values at DAWCO to ensure the company's continuity and growth.
