Environment - Managing our waste
At DAWCO, our commitment to the environment, as part of our ESG approach, is demonstrated through a number of actions, particularly in the area of waste management. That's why DAWCO has joined Laval's Symbiose, which aims for Zero Waste by 2040, by participating in the implementation of a circular economy in Laval.

Environment - Managing our carbon footprint
At DAWCO, we attach great importance to managing our carbon footprint in order to actively contribute to the fight against climate change. With this in mind, we carry out an annual calculation of our carbon emissions, taking into account both perimeters 1 and 2. This analysis enables us to identify our main sources of emissions and determine the actions needed to reduce them.
As part of our commitment to the energy transition, we have recently begun our shift to electric vehicles.

In response to our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint, DAWCO formalized the implementation of telecommuting. This strategic decision is in line with our ESG approach and aims to reduce our environmental impact by limiting commuting. By adopting this flexible approach, we aim to promote a greener way of working, while offering our employees a better work-life balance.

Social - Local economy and Centre d'entraide du Marigot
At DAWCO, our commitment to social issues is reflected in a number of significant initiatives.
We are an active participant in the Rendez-vous de l'Économie sociale de Laval, supporting the development of the local economy.
In addition, we have established an agreement with the Centre d'entraide du Marigot and Café de la Concorde to use their catering services, thereby promoting social inclusion and supporting local initiatives.

Social - Commitment to the community
At DAWCO, our commitment to the community is at the heart of our DNA. We actively support local initiatives by partnering with charitable organizations, participating in events such as the Moisson Montréal Golf Tournament and contributing to Moisson Laval's Christmas baskets while donating our returnable containers.
We sponsor sports teams and socio-cultural groups involving our employees and their families. This helps strengthen our community ties and create a lasting impact for a better world.

Governance - ESG strategy
At DAWCO, responsible corporate governance is at the heart of our ESG strategy. This is demonstrated by the adoption and signature of our ESG policy by our President and CEO, Jean-François Lemay, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable business practices. To ensure effective implementation, we have added this policy to our documentation center, guaranteeing its availability at all levels of the organization.
In addition, as part of our induction processes, we systematically present our ESG policy during new employee induction training, underlining the importance we place on social and environmental responsibility in all our activities. By taking this proactive approach, we ensure that our commitment to ESG is embedded in our corporate culture and will guide our future actions towards a sustainable future. Governance - Integrity program
DAWCO's Integrity Program is a fundamental pillar of our ethical and transparent corporate culture. We have developed a comprehensive framework document that defines our values, standards and expectations in terms of integrity and compliance.
To ensure effective implementation of this program, we have set up a confidential whistle-blowing process, enabling our employees to report any behavior contrary to our values without fear of reprisal.
